Kitten-Eye SDS Participation & Usage Policy

This document governs participation in and use of the Kitten-Eye Shared Database System (SDS). By connecting to or operating a server using SDS, players and community operators agree to comply with this policy.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of this document:

SDS refers to the Kitten-Eye Shared Database System.
Community refers to a server or group of server operators using SDS.
Blocked Community refers to a community that has been denied access to SDS.

A blocked community:

May no longer operate SDS.
Will lose access to the SDS API, mod integration, and website.
Will not be entitled to request data exports or dumps of stored moderation data.
May have its stored SDS data deleted at the discretion of HideoutKitty.

2. Rules for Players

2.1 Compliance with Community Rules

Players must comply with:

The rules of the community server they are playing on.
The terms of service and rules applicable to Arma Reforger.

A breach of a participating community's rules or applicable game/platform terms may result in moderation action recorded within SDS.

2.2 Enforcement

Moderation and enforcement decisions are made at the discretion of each participating community. SDS provides decision-support tools only and does not automatically impose bans.

3. Rules for Participating Communities

Communities using SDS must adhere to the following requirements.

3.1 Lawful and Fair Use

Communities must use SDS solely for legitimate moderation and anti-abuse purposes.

SDS may not be used:

For harassment, retaliation, or competitive interference.
For profiling unrelated to moderation.
For public shaming or reputational attacks.

3.2 Respectful and Lawful Content

Bullying, hate speech, discriminatory language, or excessive profanity in:

Ban reasons
Server names
User account identifiers
Public descriptions

is strictly prohibited. Violation of this provision may result in immediate blocking of the community.

3.3 Anti-Abuse of Technical Features

Communities must not:

Attempt to reverse engineer the SDS mod, API, or website.
Attempt to identify hashing methods or exploit fingerprinting logic.
Probe, scan, or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities.
Circumvent security controls.

Any attempt to exploit the system may result in immediate blocking.

3.4 Proper Use of Alternative Account Detection

The "alternative account detection" feature may only be used for the purpose of preventing ban evasion.

It must not be used:

To monitor players without prior moderation grounds.
For speculative tracking.
For non-moderation purposes.

Abuse of this feature will result in blocking.

3.5 Monetization Restriction

Operating a monetized server while using SDS is prohibited unless explicit written authorization has been granted by HideoutKitty.

Unauthorized monetization while using SDS may result in blocking.

3.6 Compliance with Applicable Game Terms

Communities must comply with the terms and policies of Arma Reforger.

A violation of applicable platform rules may result in removal from SDS.

4. Enforcement and Blocking

HideoutKitty reserves the right to:

Investigate suspected violations of this policy.
Suspend or block communities.
Remove stored SDS data.
Restrict access to features.

Blocking decisions are final at the discretion of HideoutKitty.

5. General Provisions

5.1 No Ownership of SDS Infrastructure

Participation in SDS does not grant communities any ownership rights over:

The SDS infrastructure
The central database
The API
Associated tooling

5.2 Limitation of Liability

SDS is provided on an "as is" basis. HideoutKitty is not responsible for:

Independent moderation decisions made by communities.
Loss of revenue resulting from blocking.
Community disputes.

5.3 Modifications

HideoutKitty reserves the right to update this policy. Continued use of SDS constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
